When comparing camps be aware of exactly what is and is not included in the camp price, it makes a big difference. We want the kids that have used every cent of their money to be at camp to have the same camp experience as the kids with more money. That is why we include so many different things in the camp price. Once kids get to camp it should be the same amount of fun for everyone, not a "Fun dependent on how much money you have" experience.

The only place where you might want to bring a few extra bucks is for paintball. We include a set amount of balls but if you are "Machine Gun Guy" it will cost you for extra paint. Other than that, everything included is free, right down to the movies at the movie theater. EPIC!

Dinner in the evening is only thing that's NOT included in the camp price. We don't include this meal because there are so many great places to eat in Whistler.

You aren't on your own for dinner though. Every day on our activity board at the hotel we have 5 different restaurants listed and the times that coaches are taking campers. You can hook up with whatever group you'd like to eat with.

We keep a close eye on everyone, especially the younger campers to make sure everyone is eating right and not just junk food. We have two staff members whose job it is to take the younger campers to dinner. Just because you have to pay for dinner yourself doesn't mean you are by yourself.

Some coaches go for dinner and then to the Village 8 Cinemas for a movie. The restaurants we list range from pizza, sushi, Mexican, Indian, Italian. No matter what you like to eat there is a crew heading to somewhere you'd like. There is even a McDonald's. Pretty much every day there is a crew of campers and coaches headed to Mongolie Grill and Pita Etc, across from the movie theater.

Campers are allowed to go to dinner by themselves or with friends; they are not forced to go with our staff. Dinner is usually crews of campers going to their favorite places. No one is left behind. The coolest thing is chilling in Whistler village after dinner. You see every pro you can think of doing the same thing as you. Chilling in town after a good day riding. Whistler Village is like one big outdoor mall, it's a really safe and compact environment.

Canadian dollars is the currency here, although US cash is accepted in the majority of places in town. You don't need any other spending money apart from the $25 CDN for dinner each night. Breakfast and lunch are included in the camp price. Although you may want to bring some money for snacks, drinks, the coaches sale etc.

You can use an ATM card up here and withdraw small amounts daily if required. It's the best way, so you're not traveling with lots of cash, and it dispenses $20 Canadian dollar bills.

The Coaches' Sale also happens every week and its amazing deals on all kinds of used equipment and clothing from the coaches. Nothing like scoring Simon's old goggles for $40 instead of $150. Brent's extra tires and brake parts for half their value. How cool is getting 4FRNT clothes before they are out in the stores or TJ's Sessions jacket for cheap. Even Griffin's into it, selling poles for super cheap. The Coaches sale is off the hook. If you need new stuff The COC Coaches' Sale is the place to get it. Our shop also has custom Dakine, TSG and Zimtstern products that are super dope and limited edition.

As extra spending money is such a personal issue we can never say exactly how much to bring, it's a family decision. Just know that when we designed camp we designed it to be that once kids get to camp it should be the same amount of fun for everyone, not a "Fun dependent on how much money you have" experience.

As the center of the snowboard, ski and mountain bike universe, there are stores for each sport packed to the gills with next years stuff at special prices for campers. If you are looking for new equipment, don’t bother buying it at home just before you leave, get it cheap here.

Please be aware our camp is NOT a 24 hour fully chaperoned, "hold their hand" camp. The youngest age we accept is 12. We allow the kids into the village of Whistler (approx 4 square blocks) on their own or with their new buddies. This is never a problem due to the fact that Whistler is such a beautiful, safe and compact resort. We have our own by-laws up here, if you swear or use profanity loud enough, you can be arrested! That gives you an idea of what it's like in Whistler village. Most of Whistler village is car free, designed for pedestrians. The village is like a big outdoor mall. We allow campers to roam around the village on their own unsupervised (until curfew), because it's such a safe and compact resort.

This is the Camp of Champions, not the Camp of Party Animals. Ken Achenbach, the Camp Director, lives in The Dorm, supervising the campers, along with other members of staff. Our close, but unimposing supervision lets everyone have a great time and stay out of trouble. We treat the kids with the respect they want, and 99 times out of 100 we get it back.

If you are under 19, our four rules for camp are no drugs, no alcohol, no disruptive behavior and you must be in the hotel by curfew, 10:00PM. Break these rules you go home that day or sooner, with no refund whatsoever. If you felt like you were an adult and broke these rules, we will also treat you like an adult and drive you to the airport to arrange your flight home. We give you one of our cell phones to phone your parents and tell them why you are on your way home. The camper will be responsible for all costs incurred by being sent home.

If you are over 19, the same rules and regulations of "No drugs" apply. Being 19 yrs or older, you are classed as "an adult" in Canada and we treat you as such. If you are 19 yrs or older the curfew does NOT apply and you are legally allowed to drink in Canada.

However, if you decide to go out at night we ask that you do not return to The Dorm in a noticeable or disruptive fashion. This means you cannot let any of the under age campers see you drunk or with alcohol at anytime. If you have been drinking at a bar in town you must return directly to your room upon returning to the hotel. We do not want any under age campers exposed to bad influences and we appreciate your help in keeping alcohol out of their sight.

The "No drugs" rule still applies of course, regardless of your age, as it is illegal and the police will be involved if you are caught with illegal substances. If you cannot follow these simple guidelines then you will be asked to leave the camp immediately with no refund or assistance in getting back home. We have a zero tolerance on bad influences at camp. We promise every camper's parents that this is a safe environment. If you are the person that makes us break that promise even for one minute, you will go home. Period.

These are our only cast in stone rules at COC. Don't break them and you will have the time of your life. There isn’t another camp on earth like COC.
