If you've registered for a "DELUXE" camp you'll be staying in THE DORM, a three minute walk to the lifts,
three minutes from the skatepark and town. You will be in a two bedroom suite, with 3 other people that are the same sex, close to the same age and as much as possible the same sport.
You can request to be roomed with your buddies by typing their names in the space provided at the registration stage.
When you register for 8 day or longer Deluxe camp, you can choose who you room
with. Type in your buddies' names where it says "I want to room with", and that
person will be who you are rooming with.
It's a two-minute bike ride to the lifts from The COC hotel.
It is a short walk to the lifts from THE DORM. We are right above the base of the Wizard chair. We also have shuttles to take you to and from the lifts so you don't have to walk if you don't want to.
This is camp not jail. Anyone can phone you and you can phone anyone. The best thing
is to bring your cell phone if you have one. Check your phone provider for a plan that
includes Canada. It will save you a fortune. American and most European cell phones
work in Canada. If you do not have a cell phone there are pay phones in the Dorm. We
recommend you use a calling card or call collect.
The best place to store your valuables is at home. Don't bring valuables to camp.
With so much going on campers tend to forget stuff all over the place. We don't
have a theft problem at camp due to the mellow room arrangements, but absent mindedness
is constant.
If you bring your iPod, jewelry, anything that can be forgotten around the hotel,
we are not responsible for them. Ken the camp director goes through about 10 hoodies a
summer from leaving them in the games room and video room. So take a hint from him.
We tell everyone to put their passport, I.D., tickets, cash, etc somewhere safe
in their room. A credit card or ATM card is better than cash.
The best way is by email. The email will then be printed and given to the camper. You can also fax them at 604-938-9582.
Put the camper's name at the top in bold print. The best time to contact someone is between 7:00 AM and 7:30 AM PST. After that they are out having fun and before that they are sleeping.
Please don't call before 7:00 AM unless it's an emergency as it is unfair to the roommate
who is still sleeping. We tell all the campers to phone home as soon as they get checked
into their rooms.
Once The Dorm is up and operating we will have a phone system in the building as well. The absolute best way is for your camper to bring a cell phone.
We don't recommend it because of the time delay in the postal system, then possible delay at our
end. We cannot guarantee the camper will get the mail.
The Dorm has coin laundry machines so you don't have to bring everything you own to camp. You
also don't have to wear the same stinky socks all week.
