20 YEARS OF SHOWING THE WORLD WHAT A SUMMER CAMP IS SUPPOSED TO BE
20 YEARS. That's how long we've been setting the example of what a summer camp is supposed to be. We practically invented the action sports summer camp and this year is going to be the best yet.
Twelve years ago we invented the new school ski summer camp.
Every summer we strive to outdo the previous summer. 2007 may have been off the hook, but for 2008 we are throwing the hook and the phone out the window. We're pulling out all the stops for our 20th birthday.
Steve Petrie and Arena Snowparks build us the biggest, most perfectly designed private park in the world
every summer. Steve packs every square inch of our park with features. Then we get the coolest pros and up and coming riders to coach you so you make as many
friends as possible and learn more than you dreamed you would in your time with us. Come to COC and you
will progress your skills no matter what your ability or your age.
The sessions that go off in the park every summer change the world. New member of the DC team Norwegian
Torstein Horgmo set the bar pretty high this summer with switch 1440’s. When he dropped in the whole park,
snowboards AND skiers stopped to watch him throw down. Every summer there is usually one person that raises
the whole level of the park. When you build the sickest park you will find anywhere in the summer, invite
all the best pros and let them go off, you never know what is going to be the highlight of the summer.
My personal highlights were Torstein just riding and checking all the footage of the amazing night shoots
we had in the park. We had pros from it seemed like every team and film crew under the sun was throwing
down and getting the most amazing photos and footage. Just wait till you start seeing it come out this winter.
The sessions that go off in the park every summer change the world. This summer, Tanner Hall called one of the afternoons where the coaches and campers were throwing
down, just for fun "The best session ever in the history of freeskiing". That's a pretty big claim, but coming from Tanner you know it's true. We can't guarantee that it will happen again but when you build the sickest park you will find anywhere in the summer, invite all the best pros and let them go off, you never know. My personal highlights were Matt Sterbenz throwing a huge double back to start the "Best Session Ever" and Chris Turpin closing it down with a huge 1440 flatspin. WTF. 1440. Flatspin. It was a solid 100 feet from takeoff to landing. Insane!
The Whistler Bike Park has changed the sport of mountain biking. Being coached in the Bike Park is even more amazing. COC and the Whistler Bike Park will change your mountain biking. I started the Camp of Champions as a place where you could come and hang out and ride in the center of the MTB universe. A camp where you can ride so much your fingers swell up and you can’t possibly take another run. A camp where you make a whole pile of new friends, some of which just happen to be pro riders. Most of all a camp where you have the most fun you can imagine.
This is Camp of Champions 20th year and the third year of having the best bike camp on earth. Come ride with our pros in the bike park and it will change your life. You will not believe how much better you will get and how much fun you will have.
The other thing you get at COC is a view of life in Whistler. Whistler is the most amazing place on
earth for having fun on snow or dirt. It’s where it seems like every pro in North America is riding
and hanging. Just walking through the village will blow you away. "Hey there's...", "Hey there's..." every day. We always joke that Whistler is the center of the skisnowboardbike universe in the summer, and that COC is the center of the center of the universe.
My goal at camp is to give every camper a taste of the life they can have if they want it. A taste of what it's like to be in a town that lives, eats, breathes and sleeps skiingsnowboardingmountain biking and good times.

Camp gives you a taste of your future. All you have to do is wake up in the morning,
click into your bindings,
stomp into your bindings,
hop on your bike,
reach out and grab it to start living the dream. Camp will change your life, be
the best week of your life and the start of your new life.
